About us

We’ve designed and built turnkey attractions from scratch, developed existing attractions, and worked with everything in between, to help them become profitable, sustainable destinations.

At Quercle, we make attractions work.

What markets do we work in?

We work with historic houses, farm parks, zoos, museums, destinations and family attractions in the UK, Europe, USA and beyond.

What makes us different?

We understand the big picture and love the small details, so work with you to give practical step-by-step advice that will shape and guide your decisions.

How do we work?

Collaboratively. We listen to your ideas, plans and aspirations and then work with you to create a way forward that is deliverable, realistic and achievable.

Our Services

With experience in every aspect of creating and operating an attraction, there are lots of ways we can add value. Here are just a few of them.

Feasibility

We will help you to understand the potential market with an accurate and credible feasibility report, that investors can rely on.

Planning

Negotiating the planning minefield takes skill, experience and the right approach, to ensure you get just the permissions you need.

Business Planning

Understanding how your trading works on a sunny bank holiday and a wet Tuesday in February, is the short route to profit.

Marketing & PR

From creating the brand to launch and day-to-day marketing, we can help with every aspect of your marketing mix.

Operations

From catering to staffing and ongoing maintenance, we understand the day-to-day and the bigger picture, so you can trade profitably every day.

Business Administration

The dull stuff makes a huge difference and ensures you can trade legally, safely and sustainably into the long term.

Our Team

The Quercle team have worked together since they first met at BeWILDerwood in Norfolk back in 2007. They now advise attractions around the world on all aspects of planning, design and operation of an attraction. Their strength is hugely bolstered by the partners they work with who are genuinely the best in the business.

Simon Egan

Projects

Simon Egan of Quercle

Simon is the starter. He starts projects from scratch and envisions the whole project. There’s very little he hasn’t seen and he’s running out of places that he hasn’t been. A lover of music and all things artistic, he will normally be your first point of contact.

Peter Foster

Dull Stuff

Peter Foster Quercle

Peter is the details man for everything that needs to happen behind the scenes to ensure you stay safe, legal and insured. With a whole lifetime in insurance, business start-ups and turnarounds, he’s not actually that dull himself.

Bob Ottaway

Operations

Bob Ottaway of Quercle

Bob knows everything about operating an attraction and his forecasting is legendary. If you’re wondering how many staff you will need on a wet Tuesday in February or a busy Weekend day in summer, he’ll know. He’s also a rather gifted wildlife photographer.

Johnny Lyle

Marketing

Johnny Lyle of Quercle

Johnny is a marketeer who has worked with every type and size of attraction. From marketing planning to setting budgets and delivering day-to-day campaigns, Johnny can show you how to deliver more paying customers to your door. And, he is horrifically nerdy.
